For over 60 years, Mexico City Restaurant & Lounge has been a staple of the Ballpark neighborhood in Denver, CO. Dave, Owner & Chef, and his wife, Candice, Owner & CEO, are the third generation to run the restaurant. Mexico City started as a bar founded by Dave’s grandparents, Willy and Esther Garcia. Mexico City has all the authenticity of an old-school Mexican restaurant with a timeless, modern feel. It’s where regulars congregate, and people run into each other — an epicenter of the neighborhood, bringing together family, friends, and co-workers. We were voted “Taco the town” by Westword and secured a spot in “The 100 restaurants we can’t live without” list.
